Job Description: Manager - Sales (Territory)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Manager – Sales and Support to drive business growth and provide exceptional customer support within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, customer relationship management, and technical support, preferably in the SaaS-based Industry 4.0 or manufacturing technology domain. This role requires the ability to understand customer needs and ensure successful implementation and adoption of our real-time machine monitoring solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales:

Business Development:
  1. Develop and execute territory sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets within the assigned territory. 
  2.  Identify target markets and customer segments which are most likely to benefit from real time machine monitoring and industry 4.0 within the assigned territory 
  3. Conduct market research to understand customer pain points and industry trends. 
  4. Participate in trade fairs, seminars and conferences in your territory. 
Client Acquisition:
  1. Present product demos and technical presentations to potential customers.  
  2. Negotiate and close deals, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer needs. 
  3. Build strong relationships with decision-makers in manufacturing industries.
Account Management:
  1. Maintain relationships with existing customers, upselling and cross-selling where appropriate. 
  2. Conduct regular check-ins to ensure customer satisfaction and identify additional needs.
  3. Supervise, Mentor and motivate sales and support teams in your territory.
  4. Supervise and motivate reselling partners in your territory. 
  5. Mentor sales and support teams reporting to you.

Support:

Customer Onboarding:
  1. Guide customers through the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition to our SaaS platform. 
  2. Train users on product features, enabling them to maximize the solution’s benefits. 
Technical Assistance:
  1. Act as the first point of contact for technical support inquiries. 
  2. Collaborate with the technical and development teams to resolve complex issues promptly. 
Feedback Loop:
  1. Collect and analyze customer feedback to identify product improvement opportunities. 
  2. Serve as a liaison between customers and the development team to enhance product functionality. 
Reporting and Analytics:
  1. Prepare and present periodic sales reports, including forecasts and performance metrics.
  2. Monitor and analyze territory performance to identify growth opportunities. 
  3. Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and support requests in CRM software. 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in SaaS or Industry 4.0 domains. 
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and customer satisfaction. 
  • Selling in manufacturing industries, industrial software such as MES, ERP etc., machine tools, cutting tools and accessories. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. 
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build long-term relationships. 
  • Use of sales CRM 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player with strong self-motivation and leadership skills 

Preferred Attributes:

  • Understanding of manufacturing shop floor operations. 
  • Experience in selling to medium and large-scale manufacturing companies. 
  • Knowledge of CRM tools and sales methodologies. 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  1. Territory revenue growth. 
  2. Number of new accounts acquired. 
  3. Customer retention and satisfaction rates. 
  4. Timeliness and effectiveness of technical support resolutions. 
  5. Upsell and cross-sell revenue. 

Location and Travel:

  • The role is territory-based, requiring frequent travel within the assigned region.
